Congratulations to the Rivanna Radio Control Club on two counts!
1. The Federal Aviation Administration designated the Rivanna RC flying site as a FAA Recognized Identification Area (FRIA), which means the remote ID requirement is satisfied for anyone flying at the Club’s site beginning September 16, 2023.
2. The Academy of Model Aeronautics designated Rivanna RC as a 2023 Gold Leader Club. To qualify for this coveted award, Rivanna RC made many positive contributions to the sport of aeromodelling in practicing safety, teaching others to fly, and donating to the community at large.
